As Australia’s longest running LGBTIQ+ and gender diverse organisation we are proud to be part of the Pride movement providing a safe space for all LGBTIQ+ individuals living with disabilities, mental health and the aged, to access NDIS support services where individuals can express who they are and be celebrated, connecting them with other like-minded individuals and support workers as well as the greater LGBTIQ+ community as a whole, working in the Disability Space we are offering you an opportunity to join our Family.

We are offering permanent positions for qualified Level 1 & 2 Disability Support Workers in the South Eastern, Southern, Eastern, Western and Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.

Your Primary role is to deliver supports in the areas of;

  • Assistance With Self Care Activities

  • Access Community Social And Rec Activities supports

The supports you provide are flexible, client driven with a focus on Outreach 1:1 supports, Social groups and Virtual supports that operate in a telehealth model.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of gender and sexual diversity.

  • Fully Vaccinated for COVID-19

  • Certificate IV in Disability, equivalent or higher field of study.

  • National Police Clearance- within 6 months

  • Valid Working with Children’s Check

  • NDIS worker's screening clearance

  • Current First Aid & CPR

  • Experience in Mental health (Preferred)

  • Driver’s license and reliable transport (Preferred)

 

Job Types: Casual with view to Permanent position

Salary: $36.00 – $39.00 per hour/Casual rate or Equivalent Permanent rate (SCHADS Level 2).

Schedule:

  • Minimum 15 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase to a Full-time role.
